Longneck karen tribe in Mae Hong Son

Mae Hong Son has many hilltribe villages living in the high mountain areas.
The easy going life is interesting to observe and they are proud of their own culture.
Happy and peaceful life.

There are 3 sites namely, Huaysuethao about 12 south from down town Maehongson. The second one at Nampiangdin which you have to go by boat.  Another one at Naisoi village about 30 km north of the city.  It is the bigest village.  There are 3 tribes of Karenis living there.

Waterfalls are beutiful in the rainy season (June-September) and wild orchids blooming mainly in winter and summer from November to April

Beuatiful town of Mae Hong Son are now a famous destination for nature loving tourists.  The colorful dipterocarpic forest which are plenty of wild orchids blooming along the branches of the trees in Feb-Apr.  The waterfalls, hotsprings and the caves are also plenty.

Ideal place for ecotourism and trekking

Spend at least 3 days to visit places and take with you the binocular to see birds, orchids wild lifes.  Home stay at the hill tribe villages is a challenging trip for those who enjoy the cultural exchange visits.
